Meet and Greet Alden Richards at Robinson's Place Imus
Whenever someone would approach me to offer special memberships to this and this establishment, I always question the wisdom of it. I'd think first that this is just one of their marketing ploys to get people to shop more frequently in their store and it is not even a free promotion oftentimes. At the Robinson's Grocery, I paid P100, just to give it a try, well, I frequently buy my groceries there anyway. So might as well avail of the Robinson's Rewards Plus. How do memberships work and what do customers get from them? A customer earns points every time he shops in Robinson's Department Store or grocery. And upon accumulating about 100 pts, (not sure how the payments get converted to points, but i'll try to find out) you can now use those earned points which have corresponding cash equivalents to pay for your groceries or purchases.
But the benefits go beyond that, two days ago, I was a lucky recipient of a a letter from Robinson's Rewards team, which is intended for members only, inviting me to go to Robinson's Imus to join them in the celebration of their 30th anniversary (I did not know they've been around that long, I thought and then I suddenly felt so old, lol.) Robinson's Place Imus calls it a "Thank You Day" and in line with that celebration, about 50 lucky Robinson's Rewards Plus cardholders will get an opportunity to meet the current 'toast of local tinseltown' Alden Richards, who is the other half of the Aldub pair (I can already hear my friends swooning when I tell them this.)
And to make the event more exciting, there will be a Wellness Journey where invitees get a chance to receive a gift plus three lucky winners of P5,000 worth of Robinson's GCs and three lucky winners of Samsung S5 will also be selected. I am so excited to see Alden and at the same time win prizes, I couldn't wait for Friday. There is only one big problem though. I live in the boondocks of Rizal, so going to Imus is a half-day affair with the traffic along Edsa and the problematic MRT. I wish Robinson's will hold the same event in a closer location next time. Meantime, if I could not drop by and join them on Friday, Sept. 11 at 5:00, I'll just greet Robinson's Place a resounding Happy Anniversary!.
