Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes Wed in a Ceremony Fit for Royalty
The most exciting day of their lives had arrived. After they announced their engagement last August, which was rather a short one (although the groom had announced that he already asked the bride's hand unofficially in one of their trips abroad) their date to the altar did happen last December 30, 2014, and it was an event that had no hitches at all. Therefore, it was bound to happen. It seemed that destiny made the day perfect for the couple because there were no mishaps that would mar the beauty of the ceremony.
Everything was just dreamy and dramatic in an entertaining way, not the dramatic sentimental way, because the couple are both very cool, not the uptight type. Dingdong and Marian gave their best to satisfy the people who love them by putting together a wedding ceremony that will be unrivaled yet in the Philippines. From the venue, which is the Immaculate Concepcion Church in QC, a church close to the groom's heart, loyal fans could already see the couple enter the church. So fans did not really miss anything, add to that the big monitors outside the church for fans to view the happenings at the altar. It is a testament that the couple really value their supporters.
I could not stop the goosebumps from appearing on my arm when Marian walked down the aisle in her Michael Cinco gown, the Dubai-based Filipino designer who flew over to make sure that the gown would be picture-perfect in all angles. almost like Kate Middleton in 2011. And of course, the groom's unique arrival in his Ducati would also be a tough one to beat. Inside the cathedral, the couple stood out in their light attires while the rest of the guest and entourage were in dark and red attires. All throughout the ceremony, Marian and Dingdong just beamed with happiness and joy. It seems they know they have found the right spot on earth, which is beside each other.
A grand reception was prepared for the over-a-thousand guests at the Mall of Asia Arena which, for that occasion, was decorated with chandeliers with native design. The effect was a perfect blending of Filipino and Spanish culture, just like the couple who both come from Spanish heritage.
