What To Do With Fruit Peelings and Rice Washings

We should all be concerned about proper waste disposal because if waste is not managed properly, we will have no clean surroundings in the future.   Our vacant lots will all be turned into dumpsites, unless we start segregating our trash and also reuse some garbage that we create in our very own homes.  Let us all be conscious about our movements and be very careful about the carbon footprints that we leave behind us.  Remember, we only have one home and we are slowly destroying it because of our lack of awareness of the effects of our irresponsible actions. Recently, I experimented in making fruit peelings or other food remains into organic fertilizers . Happy New Year Folks....What's your New Year's Resolution(s)

After the last glass of wine had been drunk, after the last slice of cheese had been eaten, after that last container of  leftover 'biko' had been consumed, it's time to face the new year.  And as we always promise each year, we always want to resolve the problematic areas in our life at the start of the year.  Call it what you like:  resolution, goals, whatever, they all aim at fixing our broken promise the past years.   So, what do you plan to resolve this 2019?  Here's my short list of 2019 goals or resolutions: 1.  Avoid procrastinating and corollary to that is:  pay your credit cards ahead of time.   Upon receiving the bill, if you have enough balance in your account to pay it, pay it immediately.  Don't wait for the due date because if heaven forbid, there is a brown out and you pay online, imagine if the brown out would take days?  You will incur that dreaded delayed payment ch...

A Reason to go to San Jose: Skinline Day Spa and Salon

I have been to this establishment to enjoy their services, not once, but four times. I can vouch for their honest service, having tried them out and coming out, without feeling short-changed. I first tried their Cleopatra body-scrub a few months before I started blogging and found that paying P450 for that was not enough compared to the value of their service. I should have paid even more. From the very well-trained and fast workers, you would not have to worry you’d miss your appointments or not go home in time to make dinner because they start and finish at the promised hour without cutting short the process. They would give you what is due you, as far as service is concerned. Just one caveat, come early on a weekend if you are planning to avail three or more salon services to avoid the long queue during the middle of the day.
